I want to know if it is customary to give the parents gifts or just the bridal party.
Is it customary to give the bride and grooms parents gifts during the rehearsal?
Usually the couple will give their parents a small thank you gift.
Reply:It probably depends on your relationship. In our case, both mothers have been so very much more helpful than the rest of the bridal shower and my father is going to be the minister (his fater is passed away), so it is a no-brainer that they should get gifts at our rehearsal. In fact, we are going to give them better gifts than the wedding party gets.
Reply:I've never heard of a rehearsal where the parents weren't given gifts, especially if they're helping at all to pay for the wedding.
Reply:Usually you give gifts at the bridal shower and at the bachelor party....
I not sure if you give them at the rehearsal? I don't think it is... Sometimes the groom will give his bride a pair of diamond earrings, or the bride will give her groom a pair of cuff lings... It just depends on how elaborate you want to be...
I don't see why not to, but I never heard it as a tradition.....
Reply:I've never heard of giving the parents gifts- but I guess it would be a nice gesture.
Reply:i've never heard of giving the parents gifts?
Reply:both to show your appriciation for there support during your relationship and your life
Reply:I think both
Reply:We gave gifts to our parents as well. I think that's pretty standard.
Reply:It's not customary to give the parents a gift during the rehearsal...when I got married we gave our mom's roses as we exited the ceremony, but other than that after we got our wedding pics back we had a special pic of us together and gave it to our parents later.
Reply:it depends on what you want to do. personally i gave my mother her present after the wedding, she was already emotional enough :P
Reply:I didn't give gift for the bridal party, we gave our presents to everyone during rehearsal dinner. If you already gave them presents during the bridal party, just thank them at the rehearsal dinner.
