How many Christmas gifts do you give to each of your children?

We have a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl....they are getting 11 gifts each, not counting the stocking stuffers.

How many Christmas gifts do you give to each of your children?
NONE. WE DO NOT EXCHANGE GIFTS BECAUSE I HAVE NO CHILDREN.
Reply:Ha ha I don't even think about it, I just keep buying. Too many.
Reply:I think one big gift and then a few smaller ones and some stocking stuffers would be enough. Just make sure its fair.
Reply:not the number ; you do what you can within your means
Reply:3 gifts each...like the Magi's

and then they give each other gifts and they get stocking stuffers and the big family exchange...they get enough. I have eight children...
Reply:As many as I can.
Reply:Not counting.. my son is a newborn so this is the first year. I have about 5 things for him, not including stocking stuffers. I am sure he will get a lot more when he's old enough to have fun with it.. can't wait!! Growing up, I usually got about 15 gifts under the tree.. my Mom still goes crazy, too! Best Wishes!
Reply:I dont have set amount every year but i do have a set budget i dont go over about £400 and tend to buy one big thing,ie a bike or electric car and the rest is made up of smaller items.
Reply:Don't matter how many aslong as they each get the same amount this year I bought 3 for each kid 3 kids to
Reply:it doesn't really matter how many. but you have to make sure there is some balance. like if you got your boy a big $100 gift and the girl a big $40 gift.. give them each some little things so they don't feel like one is being favored over the other
Reply:our parents give us probably 9 or 12 and I really enjoy them. I like my parents very much and i love them sooooo much.
Reply:We give them 3 gifts plus a stocking. This really simplifies things at Christmas and makes what they get more meaningful.
Reply:We have a 6 month old son and this is his first Christmas. We have lost count. And i can't imagine how much he is going to get from his aunts, uncles and grandparents. How are we going to get all that stuff home???
Reply:Just one. How many lumps of coal can they use at once?
Reply:Well I don't have any kids but i have 2 nieces and 3 nephews i bought them each 2 gifts some clothes and a toy! That's more than enough, don't want them to get too spoiled!
Reply:I HAVE IT!!

Try these! Probably best as stocking stuffers or secret santa. They are cheap and don't look it. I used these last year and they were a big hit. Using again this year.

They have a great holiday special going on and thier shipping is quick. I just bought a bunch.
Reply:My husband and I have 7 children all under the age of 15. They each get two gifts from us/Santa (depending on age).

I must say their favorite part of Christmas is shopping for the person in our family they picked and giving the gift.
Reply:i usually spend 200-250 dollars on each, I have a 11 yr old and a 7 yr old to buy for.

sometimes one of them end up with an extra gift, but they understand that we spent the same amount of money on each of them
Reply:well i have 2 kids. one 2yrs and the other one is 11 months i just plan to give them 6-8 gifts each half is clothing and the second half is toys
Reply:One present each for our teenage boys.

(they are big though....a tv for one, video game system for another, and ipod for the third)
Reply:around 8... 4 or 5 will be really small (ex-magazine)... 3 or 4 will be medium-sized (ex-clothes, video game), and one large gift (digital camera, tv, etc)
Reply:I have 3 kids so I plan a budget for them and try to get the same amout of gifts.I usually get 1 big gift and about 8-9 other gifts. As long as it doesn't go over my budget.
Reply:My kids are the same age as yours. They both get one big present each. Bike and tricycle. And then a few small ones, barbies, cars to play with, clothes etc. Not too many gifts. Since they get a lot from family members, all the aunties, uncles, and grandparents. I learned last year to not spend much on their presents. Instead I put money in their college

fund.
Reply:I try to stick to a specific dollar amount for each child. I have to stick to a very strict budget. 8-12 is my average number of gifts though. But I guess some kids may notice that their sibling got a few more items than they did not knowing that all together they cost they cost the same. Personally, my kids have never complained about not getting what they wanted or that their brother got more than they did. They are usually just elated that it's Christmas and that they are surrounded by new toys.
Reply:we dont believe in god so they will not get any but we buy them many thru out the yr
Reply:I am 14 and I usually get a big gift that is paid by all family members. For example, a labtop, Nintendo Wii, PS2, or Airsoft guns
Reply:I buy loads but I can afford to, and I know my kids appreciate it, 11 is alot, I like to remind my kids that there are kids out there with nothing and I make them buy 1 gift each from their pocket money and donate it to charity.
Reply:Thats awesome!
