my daughter is almost 1 years old..i am a first time mom and this is infact my daughters 1st real christmas at home instead of the hospital, so of course i want to make it special for her! she is indeed quite spoiled and i dont want the over indulgment of gift buying to blur the true meaning of christmas for her.. her birthday is also very close to christmas being on december 12th she will be 1yrs old so she gets alot of gifts...how much is to much? how much should i spend on birthday and christmas? i know this is sort of a silly question and i also realize theres no true rule im just curious as almost a poll type question to see how you all feel on this matter..so to wrap it all up again how much money would you spend on one 1 yr old daughter? thanks for your help hearing all your answers will be quite intresting!
How much is to much for when buying xmas gifts for my 1yr old daughter?
try this formula:
child's age in years x 10 = $ total cost for xmas gift for that yr.
exceptions: if the child decides to save the total cost for xmas gift for that year, then double the amount and put it in an ING account or IRA or other long-term account.
Reply:Shes your baby so you can spend what you want on her but remember considering shes barely gonna be 1 she won't even remember it. But as long as you know your limits its your money and your baby so you decide.
Reply:You are the one who sets the limit. But remind yourself that you want your child to understand that Christmas isn't about gifts it is about family and sharing and giving.
Reply:Birthday so close %26amp; only one child do $100-$200. We spend 400-500 per child they are older though
Reply:At 1, she wont know the difference anyway. Keep it simple.
Reply:id spend about 40 or 50 bucks..shes not really going to remember it..so its no big deal...2nd christmas is better cause she'll be 2 and remember it more..and get more excited..by her a few toys and she'll be happy
Reply:A child that young a) won't remember and b) doesn't care about presents.
It's not kids that are expensive, it's PARENTS.
Reply:too much? anything above zero. give her a loaf of bread from the pantry, then 15 seconds later when shes forgotten about it, you will have a loaf of bread and still have your money. amazing!
