How come on Facebook, the gifts cost money?

I use the free gifts application, but why did Facebook even add a price to giving gifts in the first place?

How come on Facebook, the gifts cost money?
Susan Kane the creator decided to create them in order to generate funds for Breast Cancer.

That was the case, but after February 2007 they stopped donating to charity and all the proceeds since have gone into the owner's pockets. Report It

Reply:They needed a way to generate some extra income. It became pointless though b/c of apps like free gifts, grow a gift etc.
Reply:they are cheap on face book. I would never spend my money on it either.
Reply:I find it unbelivable that you have to pay for stuff..God knows why they did this other than greed!


Google and Yahoo made offers to buy Facebook which were rejected..!!

If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's that simple.
Reply:Because facebook wants to gain money. Anyway, there are other applications in facebook where gifts are free. Search them up. They have growing gift applications, or free gifts applications. Hallmark cards application. They have a huge selection of free gift application and others. Just go to applications on the left side, and browse the different applications.
Reply:Why, no idea. But anyone who does it is crazy.


It's just a website that is popular for a while and will be passe tomorrow, lol.I use facebook, but I haven't added those stupid applications. Some people have everything and it looks awful!
