What is the airline policy concerning wrapped gifts on a plane?

Is it ok to have wrapped presents as a carry-on? Can I wrap a gift and put it in my baggage? I just don't want to be pegged for a bomber.

What is the airline policy concerning wrapped gifts on a plane?
It's not the airline that has a policy, it's the TSA. You could try it, but be prepared to unwrap them at security if they ask you to do so. From their website:

"Do not pack wrapped gifts and do not bring wrapped gifts to the checkpoint. Wrap on arrival or ship your gifts prior to your departure. TSA may have to unwrap packages for security reasons."

Wrap them up and ship them. Saves the hasstle of carrying them and ruining a nice wrap job.
Reply:they xray them and yes if its weed the dogs will smell it so just smoke it with your friends or by yourself cause you will go to jail and that will mess up your trip bad.
