Any ideas on inexpensive Christmas gifts?

Are there any good websites that offer gifts within certain prices, etc?

Reply:there's about a million ways to give someone a nice gift without spending a lot of money...but you have to have an idea of what that person likes...you could bake them their favorite goodies and put them in a christmas-theme tin or basket (craft store, a buck or two)...there's this 'friendship tea' that my wife makes up and puts in glass jars...easy recipe, people love the stuff...if you email me i can send you the recipe...gift cards...from their favorite store, or a 'topping-off' gift card for their cell phone-prepaid gas card...do they have a favorite celebrity? a poster or inexpensive collectible...check the flea markets for things that might go with their home decor...got a nice picture of yourself with them? frame it! goofy tee-shirts, candles, potpourri, check the bargain bins at stores like wal-mart...you'd be surprised at some of the low-price dvd's and cd's you can find...it doesn't have to be expensive to mean a lot...my mother-in-law has never had 'two dimes to rub together'...but every christmas she would put together some stuff like paper towels, kleenex, hand lotion, shampoo, washcloths, dish detergent, and stuff like that and put it in a big gift bag-precisely the stuff i NEGLECT to think about picking up while i'm out shopping...it costs very little, but it means a lot to me...

Reply:If you like to bake, then bake pumpkin bread, sweet potato bread, cookies, fudge. Pick some simple, but delicious desserts, wrap in colored saran wrap, and put in decorated sack. I do this every year for many people, and they love, and ask if they can have more. If you have a local Bombay store, they usually have great gifts that are nice, and inexpensive. I'm not sure about prices on their web-site.
Reply:Sorry, some of us are boycotting the purchase of Christmas stuff until it's the season.

I'm a picture person and have found people enjoy a nice framed picture. If you have a picture of that person with you, someone special to them, or a group picture, you could get it printed and put it in a nice frame. It's something personal and something they can enjoy year round. : )
