I think on the best gift you can give someone moving into a house or apartment is a wall mounted fire extinguisher and a fire blanket.

It could be the gift that saves there life.

It doesn't even matter if they already have them, they can place the new ones somewhere else in there apartment. Plus throw in a bottle of bubbly wine to cerebrate with.

Spice rack

Crock pot

Handy pack (hammer, tape, nails, screw driver, flashlight %26amp;batteries)
Reply:One of the things I would have loved for someone to buy me was a shower curtain. It's never thought about until it's time to take a shower.
Reply:The traditional bread, salt and wine.

Bread so you never go hungry.

Salt for good luck.

Wine so you never go thirsty.

There are slight variations on these from different cultures.
Reply:My fave is a gourmet food basket. Either one that's pre-packaged or (even better) one that you put together yourself.

Also a shower curtain, cookware, food storage containers, set of plates, cups, candles, bath items (soap, shampoo, sponge, etc), bathroom accessories (tank set, rug, trash can)... The possibilities are endless!
