In your price range, I suggest you look at pens from Parker and Cross.

Both Parker and Cross have lots of styles, however, and you might like another one better. BTW, I am assuming you want a ballpoint. Fountain pens are more "gifty" but not as practical. Cross pens tend to be a slimmer design, which I perfer, perhaps because I have fairly small hands. BTW, pen snobs say that Cross is not as good as it used to be. That might be true, but it still makes very, very nice products.





And just in case you are interested in the best pen in the world, it is Montblanc. I'd love to get one of those, but you have to be rich to spend that much on a pen. Still, it's nice to dream about. ;-)
