What are some environmentally friendly ways to wrap gifts this holiday season?

I considered wrapping gifts in used newspaper but I would like to do something a little more classy. Is there any bio-degradable wrapping paper that I can buy somewhere? Please provide all ideas. Save the Planet!

I second Dali333's response -- brown paper grocery bags with raffia are a lovely way to go green and wrap your gifts beautifully! I did it one year and decorated the grocery bags first with a snowflake and star stamper in gold and silver ink. I got many compliments!

Another idea could be to use magazine pages -- a girlfriend of mine did that for me once, and it was adorable! Of course, it works better if you're wrapping something small ;-)

Good luck!
Reply:You could also use the comic section from the Sunday paper they're mostly in color, and definitely recyclable
Reply:you can use paper grocery bags as wrap, and tie bows with raffia. its actually quite lovely :)
